Katherine Contamination Class Action
Omni Bridgeway unconditionally funded a class action (the Class Action), run by Shine Lawyers, against the Commonwealth of Australia (Department of Defence) (Defence) in connection with land contamination arising from the Defence’s use of aqueous film forming foam at the RAAF Base Tindal, Katherine, in the Northern Territory (the Site).
Current stage of case
The Katherine class action is finalised. Court approval for the settlement was completed in June 2020.

The deadline to take any steps in relation to the Notice as to Proposed Settlement was 7 May 2020. As such, registrations to participate in the Katherine PFAS Contamination Class Action are now closed.
